Motion Video
When I joined Insight Alpha as a Sr. Graphics & UI Designer, I was the lone designer on the team, and I contributed to the company’s growth in terms of marketing peripherals that we share with our clients, software processes for the dashboard that our employees use, and now motion videos & creatives for our social media as well.
My main goal in this video was to be as minimalistic as possible. Our target audience is approximately 30 years old on average.
To better understand the difficulties, I gathered information about previous designs used by our competitors or clients. I also looked into what it takes to keep a minimalist design that is also eye-catching.
The plan was to start with a firecracker, whether it was a rocket, chakri, anar, or regular cracker, and then explode it to reveal the greeting message.
I had to design the majority of the elements that would appear in the video. Despite the fact that I had previously worked in After Effects, it was difficult to create fireworks and make the animations run smoothly. Let’s get started!🚀
1. Fireworks Animation
I learned how to make these types of fireworks on YouTube, adjusted them to my specifications, and placed them accordingly.
I’d also like to include the video link here in case anyone reading this is interested in learning as well.
I designed the fireworks in the following manner, keeping a minimalist approach in mind:
2. Centre of Focus
I began designing the main focus of the video in Adobe Illustrator since it's easy to create shapes and effects in it.
Some components of the design were taken from the Freepik website and edited as per my requirements. All the elements were then compiled into one circle, which I used as a Chakri.
3. Compiling everything
All the components have been designed, put together under this final stage, and positioned in the required manner.
